Humanitas is an organization working in the field of intellectual and light psychiatric disabilities with (young) adults.
SIZA– an organization working in the field of mental and physical disabilities.
The Rudolph Stichting is a host for a number of Youth Care Organizations for children that cannot live at home due to mental and/or physical handicaps, autism,(sexual) abuse, or neglect.
Intermetzo is a large organisation for child welfare and child protection.
‘s Heeren Loo is an organization working in the field of intellectual and light psychiatric disabilities with (young) adults.
The goals for the volunteers:
- Develop and discover new skills, knowledge and work experience.
- Increase the ability to (learn to) live and work in groups.
- Take note of and being part of Dutch culture, society and language.
- Meet other young people from different cultural, social, economic and religious backgrounds, in a respectful and open manner.
Profile of the volunteers:
- We aim for volunteers who are interested social work with children and/or people with disadvantages in general.
- One of the conditions to apply is a good knowledge of English and good social skills because the volunteers have to work with children and with people with mental challenges.
- Another condition is a proof of good conduct, because this is obliged in Dutch youth and social care.

Volunteers’ tasks:
- The volunteers help disabled people in their daily activities at the arts&crafts.
- The tasks of the volunteer will be socializing and co-working with the people with special needs and supporting them in the community’s daily functions in practical tasks like cooking and cleaning.
- The volunteer’s tasks include assisting the residents in free-time activities such as going outdoors, assisting them at the supermarket or pharmacy, going to movies, concerts, library etc.

Volunteer’s requirements:

LT EVS under Erasmus + in FRANCE
Title of the project: “Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture”

Date: Sep 2017 to Sep 2018
The participants must be between 18- 30 years old.
Project description:
House: the volunteers will be integrated in our team and live a year full of events organised by our association: dance shows, concerts, exhibitions and much more.
Youth: the volunteers participate in the activities of the youth sector: Information about mobility (EVS, civic service…) organisation of youth exchanges (sending and hosting), organisation of events for young people (game nights, projects during school vacation)
Culture: the volunteers will be able to create their cultural projects in our association: Starting with an exhibition and a theme night about their culture they will develop other projects in the association and with the partners of the MJC (other local associations).

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements :
The two volunteers will live together in a flat (two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom. The flat is at 20min by foot from the association. They have bikes at their disposal for local transport as well as the local bus, which they can use to travel around the city.The volunteers receive money to cover costs for food.The volunteer or the sending organisation advance the travelling costs, which we will reimburse after arrival.
Volunteer profile:
You are open-minded. You need to be able to communicate a lot. You need to participate quickly in this process. We are looking for someone who wants to share his/her talents (arts, crafts, dance, writing, your culture, cooking….) and who is able to motivate others to participate in their projects. Our project is perfect for you, if you are able to make the most out of it without waiting for others to do your projects instead of you.

LT EVS under ERASMUS + in SWITZERLAND
Title of the project: “KiM – Kinder im Mittelpunkt”
Place: Basel Switzerland
Date: 2nd of March 2017 – 28th of February 2018
The participants must be between 18- 30 years old.
Requirement: Interest in working with children and basic German knowledge
Financial conditions:
This project would be granted from the Swiss government und not the EU, because Switzerland is officially no more a full member of Erasmus +.
The volunteers will live with a voluntary Swiss host family. The candidate should be motivated to share the life of the host family and live an intercultural exchange with them.
The contributions for international travel costs are CHF 400.
The transportation costs from the project to the host family are covered.
The volunteer will be insured through the ICYE group insurance
The volunteer will receive a pocket money of CHF 300 per month (about 275 EUR)
The volunteers will work about 32 hours a week.
The duration of the activities is 6 to 12 months.
The volunteer will receive a certificate of participation fill in by ICYE Switzerland and the hosting organization.
