Youth Exchange in Tarnow

“We are young Europeans, let’s discover each other” this is the topic of the youth exchange we participated in Tarnow, Poland. From 7 countries (Moldova, Ukraine, Macedonia, Slovakia, Albania, Poland, Czech Republic), 6 representatives met together, and had a lot of fun and discussions about being a part of Europe and what are the benefits and the disadvantages of it.

Our first impression about this project is the beautiful little city Tarnow with old architecture and great people, where we stayed for 6 days. Every day was a challenge to us because it was very different; we had a lot of activities, ice breaking-games. The main idea of this project was to know more about Europe, how to be a citizen of European Union, the problems we meet in our countries, differences and similarities between our cultures, European integration process, how EU will be in 20 years, about Erasmus +, facilities to be a student in EU. These subjects we discussed in the workshops we had every day. Also, every evening it was a cultural night were each country presented their own culture (food, drinks, national dance and traditions). We were very lucky because of the good organization Tarnow Project made for us. They were very friendly, positive, funny and very receptive to our needs.

What we want to say at the end is that for us it was an amazing experience that we will never forget and the knowledge what we gained there we will use it and share it to others. In the end, thank you ADVIT and Tarnow Project for this great opportunity and experience, it was a pleasure for us to be a part of this exchange and we hope this will not be the last one.
